Are We There Yet?

Traveling with a platypus is difficult.  For the first time, I nearly missed my plane from Houston (HOU) to Honolulu (HNL).  I have decided to blame it on the creature who is traveling with me.  Though, I must admit I felt rather important having the gate agent at Gate E4 say, "Miss Smith?" as if she knew me and then they (the airline super powers) close all the doors to the gate and aircraft directly behind me.

Though, I know you aren't here to read all about me...you want to see how Perry made the trip.  Check out Perry sitting in his first airplane seat!

The most exciting part of my trip was when I got on my flight from HOU to HNL, I had friends on the plane!  And the next most exciting part was I had an entire row (which you all know that I needed) from HNL to GUM.  However, the worst part of my trip was when I was asleep with the passed out the ice cream. :(

Speaking of sleep...I've been up for hours.  It is 5:45am Oklahoma time....sleep....sleep....

Are we there yet?  I have been asking that all day knowing that Perry and I will be embarking on the world's second longest plane ride the morning. (The first longest is our return trip.)  The great part of the flight is the fact that the airplane food is incredible.  Oh wait, the airline industry stopped feeding people on the plane.  Of course, we have the super comfortable seats.  Never mind, I confused that with the charter bus on the band trip.  Wait...confused again.  Can you imagine how difficult it is going to be to fit both this band director and a platypus in one seat?  I should have bought two tickets.  Next stop--the beach.  (Perry pics on the beach coming soon!)
